It's nice to hear someone say something open minded for a change isn't it? At work tonight when I was on my break, this co-worker and myself were watching the news and there was a story about a 16 year old guy being arrested for sexual assault. The news story said he met a 12 year old girl online and when they were together in person, someone saw them having sex in a field and called the police. The guy I was with said "How is that sexual assault??!" I think he had the opinion because the boy and girl were fairly close in age. I expressed agreement and said something to the effect of "You're right it might not have been. It could have been, but maybe not, we'll never know the true story from the news" I was delighted that someone had that opinion. He later mentioned he was a high school student, and I'm thinking he must have been in his late teens. He also later expressed disagreement with banning the video game where you role play as the Taliban shooting American troupes. I was tempted to ask him what he thought of child porn laws, ha! Regarding the news story. I wonder if the person saw them having sex could tell there was an age gap between the two, or if he/she was just trying to break up two young people fucking in a relatively public place, and later embraced the media saying she stopped a sexual assault. |
