I think what it is is a huge media influence. You see a lot of stuff like that on TV and in movies now a days. It's almost like the people's lives are being controled soley by what they're told. They see that Older woman/Younger man is in style so hell, why not try it out? I have no problem with the age difference, but what I have a problem with is that we have to wait until the TV says it's cool before doing it.

Also, there is a double standard. Younger man/Older woman = perfectly acceptable. Older man/younger woman = really dodgey subject. Why is that? Say, a man is 35 and he's dating a woman who is 25. Knock it back 10 years, he's 25, she's 15. "NO. UNACCEPTABLE", says society. Reverse the gendres and it's the same thing. Why does no one realize that? Think about the whole Twilight craze for a second (without damaging your brain. This could take training). Even the mothers of some teenage Twihards are obsessed with Edward who, need I remind you, is supposed to be 17 (yeah, eternally, but still). If all of those generes were reversed, it would be a jailing festival.
