Fear of assumptions?

Am I the only one who has noticed that there seems to be an increasing number of younger males (NOT below the AoC) that are having relationships with older women? I've noticed quite a bit lately that males in their later teens upwards seem to be dating older woman, I hadn't really noticed until I recently found out a member of my family who is in his early twenties is dating a woman over 10 years older then him. Firstly let me make one thing clear, I am not a hypocrite, I am NOT objecting to his relationship, and I have nothing against age gap relationships for anyone of either sex. The thing is, when I was his age, (BEFORE I knew what I was), I was never interested in older women, (yes I NOW know why but that's not the point), by the same token, my then VERY large circle of friends were not interested in older women either, we all wanted to date either women our own age or slightly younger. The more I look round now, the more I notice younger guys with older women, maybe I just didn't notice before, but I don't think so. The thing that makes me wonder is this, is this a product of the hysteria over GL's? Is this a product of males being so scared of being labeled a pedophile by dating a younger woman that they are dating older women? (I have not had the chance to talk to my relative about it yet.) Maybe it is just a slight societal change, I don't know and I wont pretend to have the answers, but has anyone else noticed this or am I just imagining it? I'm curious for your thoughts. Thank you.
