I've seen this mentioned a few times on this board, the suggestion that there is a such thing as a "true child lover", a "real child lover", or any other variation of that. Really, there is no such thing. To say that there is, is to say that, by definition, there is a certain way that one must express their love for children in order to actually love children. In reality, though, those of us who are attracted to children are attracted to different things about them, and to different degrees. Each of us have different temperaments, different tastes, and different reasons for liking/loving children, just like people who appreciate a certain work of art appreciate it int heir own unique way. Saying that there's a such thing as a "real child lover" is just as ridiculous as saying that there's a such thing as a "real man". |
